There are a lot of statistics in the media at the moment, and a fundamental is being missed.
Statistics Rule 1: It doesn’t matter how small the chances of an event happening are, that event will certainly happen. And there is no scientific way of predicting when.
So if there is a one in a million chance of x happening on a given day, then it will happen some day. It might be today, or not. It could even happen twice today, and some day, it will.
The human body finds it an easier task to distort new data than to process it truthfully, where it disturbs an existing belief system. It takes a willed effort to remain open-minded.
I wonder what percentage of DNA our bodies share with an ostrich. Odds are it’s higher than you think……….
